MyGoldFolio stores portfolio data on your device. Optional anonymous usage analytics are off by default and only activate if you explicitly opt in.

Portfolio Data Storage

All portfolio information you enter — holdings, purchase dates, costs, and notes — is stored locally on your device.

MyGoldFolio does not send your holdings, financial values, or personal profile data to our servers. Data leaves your device only when you explicitly export or share a backup file.

Usage Analytics

Usage analytics are disabled by default and only enabled after explicit in-app consent. If enabled, analytics are limited to anonymous app usage signals such as screen views, feature interaction events, and app open counts.

No holdings data, no prices, no purchase amounts, and no personally identifying information are sent through analytics.

Analytics processing is provided by Google Firebase Analytics (Google LLC, USA). See Google Privacy Policy.

Firebase Analytics retention is configured to 14 months. You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share usage data. For EU users, consent can be withdrawn at any time and no analytics data is collected before consent is granted.

App Store Reviews

MyGoldFolio may show a rating prompt using the official Google Play in-app review flow.

No review interaction data is collected or stored by MyGoldFolio from this prompt.

The prompt state (for example, “Not now” or “Don’t ask again”) is stored locally on-device only to respect your choice.

Price Data

To display live gold prices, the app makes requests to third-party price APIs. These requests contain no personal information — only a price query for gold in EUR. Please refer to each provider's own privacy policy for their data practices.

Notifications

The app can send local notifications for price alerts, tax-free dates, and milestones. These are generated entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server.

Backups & Exports

JSON backups and CSV exports are saved directly to your device storage. The developer has no access to these files.

Diagnostics

Any crash logs are stored on-device only and are visible to you via the App Info screen. Nothing is transmitted automatically.

Children

This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL with a revised effective date.
